Very Rev. Albert Kemboi is a native of Kenya in East Africa, where he completed his philosophical and theological formation for the priesthood. He was ordained to the priesthood on December 6, 2014, for the Diocese of Lodwar, Kenya, where he began his first assignment in pastoral ministry.
In the fall of 2018, Fr. Albert was sent on mission to the Diocese of Kalamazoo, Michigan. He faithfully served as Parochial Vicar at St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Portage until February 2020. He was then appointed Parish Administrator of St. Ambrose Parish in Parchment, where he ministered with dedication and pastoral zeal until 2025. He currently serves as Pastor of St. Ambrose Parish and Dean of the Central Deanery, a role he will continue through 2031.
A strong advocate for lifelong learning, Fr. Albert earned a Bachelor of Education degree from Egerton University in Kenya and later received a Master’s degree in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio, in 2025. He also holds a certification in Spiritual Direction from the Institute for Priestly Formation (IPF) and hopes to pursue doctoral studies in the near future.
Beyond his pastoral responsibilities, Fr. Albert enjoys reading, golfing, biking, bowling, following NBA basketball, and spending time hiking and enjoying nature.
